Another mystery solved! It happens quite often actually, when cruising through the Shelby Registry (yes, some people do that)you run across that comment “Present owner not known”. But now we know. Shelby 03084 has come forward after more than 20 years of relatively obscure ownership and this beautiful, unmolested GT350 Convertible is being offered for sale at auction.
When new it was delivered to Treadwell Ford in Mobile, Alabama and they sold the car to Howard Johnston on October 21st of 1968. It was properly kept until 1976 when it was sold to Richard Lytle in Ohio who hung on to it until 1992 when it found a home for the Next 20+ years with it’s current owner. Times and priorities change, and that creates the opportunity to own a 3 owner Shelby. That doesn’t happen very often.

In 1968 only 404 GT350 convertibles were produced.
