This Austin Mini, originally titled in 1973, has been modified with modern upgrades including air bags, fuel injected system, custom wheels, 175/50 R13 tires, electric folding cloth sunroof, and a Blaupunkt sound system. The interior features like new black vinyl upholstery with white piping and a simulated wood dash. The body and chrome are in excellent condition. It runs like new and is a blast to drive, turning heads wherever it goes. The MINI traces its’ history back to 1957 when it was developed by the British Motor Corporation as an answer to the fuel crisis of the day. The goal was to design a safe, efficient car for consumers with generous passenger space in relation to its’ overall size. The secret to the Mini’s size was the revolutionary engine layout consisting of a traverse (sideways) mounted engine. The great front wheel drive design of that original Mini has changed little over the years. The Mini has been the star of many movies including 'The Italian Job' and 'Austin Powers.' Ever since the days of the original Mini, celebrities have embraces this quirky car and many are known to have one in their personal collections.
