CSX 2305 represents one man's lifetime of devotion to an original creation from Carroll Shelby. This 289 Cobra was purchased new from Broadway Ford in Kansas City by Dr. Ed Johnson, who, sadly, passed away earlier this year. The car was in his possession it's entire life making it one of the longest term single ownership Cobras in history. Doc raced the car, autocrossed the car, toured in the car and kept it safely in his garage for over 47 years. CSX 2305 has a wonderful and full history not only as an icon of the Shelby dynasty but also as a legend of Midwest sports car enthusiasts. Included with the sale of the car is a mountain of documentation and memorabilia lovingly collected and preserved over the years. Trophies, badges, records, books, photographs and clippings will all be presented for inspection along with the car at the sale. CSX2305 is a tribute not only to the man who created it, but to the man who kept it as well.
