This fine road machine was and still is America’s only true sports car. For 1965, Sting Ray underwent subtle refinements in styling that only enhanced its unique looks. And performance, always a basic measure of Sting Ray’s appeal, has been improved still further. A new “street” engine develops 350 horsepower and answers most enthusiasts needs for traffic and highway driving. Best of all, the Sting Ray now has Sport-Master disc brakes on all four wheels that naturally complement the tremendous performance capabilities of the car. More than ever the Corvette Sting Ray is luxurious transportation for two, a different kind of driving experience.
This ultra-low mile car was purchased in November of 1966 for the gentleman’s son, who racked up 4 speeding tickets in 5 days, and lost his license. Dad was not pleased, and sold it with about 550 miles on the odometer. The buyer repainted it yellow and changed the interior to black. Mileage data is provided from May of 1986, at 2,455, May of 1998 at 4,681, and August of 2018, reading of 5,566. Color has been changed back to Silver and the interior has been redone in silver as well. This great surviving, very low mileage, numbers matching original can be yours.
